About me
Hi, my name is Wojtek and I'm a software engineer from Cracow, Poland.
I'm leading the Integrations team at Vue Storefront where I have a chance to have a real impact on the new standards for headless eCommerce and contribute to the open-source community.
I'm also a big fan of Lego, Star Wars (especially the series directed by Dave Filoni), and board games and I love to cook and eat fancy stuff.
Education and work experience
My education started in 2016 when I started my education at the University of Science and Technology in Cracow.
During my studies, I worked as an intern at GS Software where I was developing a project used to automate the weighing industry. I had a chance to learn Ruby on Rails, which amazed me. Since then, I wanted to focus on web development.
After the internship, I started working at Aptiv as a junior software engineer. I was working on an internal project, that was used to manage the company's assets. I was working a lot with PHP, relational databases and JavaScript. I also had a chance to learn a lot about the automotive industry.
I graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Applied Computer Science.
To work more with JavaScript, I started working for EnergyLab, where together with wonderful people, I was developing web apps that help people stay healthy. I was developing an eCommerce app LetsMove.com based on Vue Storefront 1 with Magento 2, and KeepMoving based on Next.js and custom Node.js backend.
I joined Vue Storefront in 2021 as a BigCommerce Integration Lead Developer, and right now I'm leading the Integrations team. As a few (amazing) devs, we're handling all available VSF integration with the most popular eCommerce platforms and 3rd party services.
Tech stack
I'm working mostly with TypeScript and Node.js.
On the backend, I'm using Express.js in daily work.
On the frontend, I have a lot of experience with Vue.js, but I'm also familiar with React.
